The Rainbow Rhythm Open Mic & Jam is a monthly youth and LGBTQIA+ forward open mic and jam that I host every 2nd Saturday since May of 2024 in collaboration with The Green House Connection Center and Cuephoria Productions. This is a safe space for all to find accessibility in music so that everyone can utilize music as a way to find hope healing, and process feeling. What I am most proud of is how Rainbow Rhythm has become a welcoming environment that makes anyone who steps through the door feel like they are at home and confident enough to step on stage without any fear of judgment. This space has allowed people who have never been on stage or even picked up an instrument an opportunity to express themselves. After the open mic, we finish with an open jam that provides an opportunity for everyone who wants to participate opportunity to play with any of the provided instruments we have available (i.e. guitar, bass, drums, keys, sax, handheld instruments, etc.) to combine their energy together to find synergy through sound.
